Intuitive Eating Using Food Psychology

Unconscious eating happens when we're not really present to what we're putting in our mouths. This can happen when we watch television, look at our phones, or when we're out for a social occasion, and especially if there's alcohol involved! Being a 'Conscious Eater' simply mean that you are present with what you are putting in your mouth which importantly allows you to gauge when you might be full, but also opens you up to the experience of the full flavours and textures of your food. When we automatically shovel food in our mouth, it can actually double the caloric intake for the entire day! Within the Intuitive Eating Package you will discover how to be present with your food, and to choose the foods and flavours your body wants and needs!

Unconscious Eating

Can you stop yourself from eating when you're upset, tired, angry, happy or sad? Is this your most vulnerable time, when you find yourself reaching for your 'treat' food? It can be hard to feel your feelings, instead of self-medicating with food, but it can be done, with certain tips, tools and methods, designed to keep you present and to know that its safe to feel your feelings. Heidi will support you to understand this habit of emotional eating, and how you can take charge and be better equipped to deal with it, when it comes up. Feelings aren't bad, they are just there to show us more about ourselves or the world around us. Navigating them can become natural and you can build a close relationship to your feelings, and the sensations in your body, and still be ok.

Intuitive Eating Package 1 - One-One - Online/In person

Are you addicted to soft drink, chocolate, chips, fries, burgers, or cheese? There is a good scientifically based reason for this, and it's got nothing to do with not having a strong enough will! Your body is craving these foods for a reason, and that reason is much more simple that you think, and it involves the way your brain reacts to these foods. By looking at what you eat, how you eat it and when you eat it, Heidi can support you to understand your triggers and how you 'do' eating. A nutritional overview will also add a piece to the puzzle, and assist you to gain what's called 'unconscious mastery' over your eating style and habits. There's no need to have food control you anymore, and to fall into the binge-restrict-binge cycle of eating ever again! it's time that you get back in harmony with your body.

There are so many 'fad diets' that people with disordered eating, or a skewed sense of self, fall prey to. It can be so confusing listening to the latest expert, or number one bestseller, especially when the information is contradictory and 'guarantees' a 'quick fix' and fast weight loss. Should you eat high protein, low carb, high fat, low fat, 'keto'..the list goes on. This information overload, only serves to take you away from your natural state of connecting with, and listening to your body, and as a result fuelling it with highly nutritional, healthful whole foods. Heidi will help you to break away from the mainstream marketing machine whose only purpose is to sell books, and diet products, and to make money by making you feel less than. In the Intuitive Eating Package you will be supported to reconnect with your own inner wisdom and knowing what's right for you.
